Theeb (2014)

A Bedouin boy's journey during the First World War narrows an immense desert into immediate questions of trust and survival. Naji Abu Nowar makes the child's incomplete understanding the source of suspense: a glance or an unfamiliar visitor can change the situation. Watching carefully matters more than heroic physical strength in this compact Jordanian adventure.
