Long Way North (2015)

A Russian teenager follows a polar mystery into work and responsibilities her privileged upbringing has not prepared her for. The spare colour fields make ships, ice and changing weather strikingly legible. A compact animated adventure that values competence learned slowly, with a harsher atmosphere and fewer jokes than a mainstream family voyage.
