The Way Back (2010)

Peter Weir turns a prison escape into a long, exhausting negotiation with distance, weather and dwindling resources. Small exchanges between the travellers do more than speeches to keep the group credible. Choose it for ensemble endurance rather than a fast pursuit, and treat the disputed memoir behind it as a story source rather than verified history.
