Kensuke's Kingdom (2024)

A shipwrecked boy's contact with an older island inhabitant gradually changes survival into a lesson in attention and protection. The hand-drawn adaptation gives the forest and its animals room to exist beyond the boy's immediate problem. First presented in 2023 before wider release in 2024, it has a quiet rhythm and distressing animal peril.
