Fargass Assandé

Pair Assande with Maimouna N'Diaye in Eye of the Storm (2015), where he plays the accused rebel opposite her lawyer. The Ivorian actor's forceful physical presence makes the encounters difficult and unpredictable, while the character's history as a child soldier complicates the question of responsibility. Watching the two performances together is more useful than treating either as a showcase detached from the other. His FESPACO acting award for the role offers further reason to seek it out.
