Toy Story (1995)

The first feature-length computer-animated film gives its technical breakthrough a story about jealousy, usefulness and friendship. Woody and Buzz remain funny because their incompatible self-images drive how they move and argue. A compact, satisfying starting point, with a slightly harsher treatment of damaged toys beneath the bright surfaces.
