Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011)

Nuri Bilge Ceylan lets a night-time search reveal the participants through practical conversation, fatigue and apparently minor distractions. The landscape makes the work both routine and strangely vast. Its deliberate pace is rewarding because the inquiry gradually becomes larger than the immediate question the group has been sent to settle.
