Arco (2025)

Hand-drawn movement gives a time-travelling child's arrival an exuberance that helps carry its environmental anxiety. Ugo Bienvenu builds a friendship across different visions of Earth's future, with bright flying imagery and a wistful undertow. The 2025 French film is a worthwhile recent route beyond major studio franchises, with peril as well as wonder.
