Cure (1997)

A detective faces murders whose disturbing similarity offers less reassurance than a conventional clue. Kiyoshi Kurosawa makes rooms, pauses and ordinary conversations feel increasingly unsafe. This 1997 Japanese film is a crime-horror discovery for patient adults, with sudden violence and an intentionally uncertain explanation rather than a neatly solved mystery.
