A Bittersweet Life (2005)

A criminal enforcer's small act of independent judgement leaves him exposed inside the organisation that gave him status. Kim Jee-woon turns elegant spaces into sites of increasingly desperate violence. This is the 2005 Korean film, a stylish adult discovery whose appeal lies in wounded control and precise action rather than an intricate investigation.
