Louis Theroux

Louis Theroux Interviews with Judi Dench (2022) shows how his slightly hesitant manner can make room for humour and painful recollection in the same conversation. Meeting her at home gives the interview an intimate setting, but his willingness to ask plain questions and allow pauses does the real work. Dench's memories of her late husband give the exchange emotional weight. This is a gentler starting point than the confrontational environments of some of his documentaries.
