Sandi Toksvig

Toksvig's QI episodes make unusual information feel like something to share around a table. She can deliver an explanation briskly, enjoy a comic diversion and bring the panel back to the point without draining the fun. The programme rewards interesting discussion as much as conventional right answers, so this is a looser choice than a cash-prize quiz. Her enjoyment of a surprising detail is the invitation: curiosity matters more than already knowing everything.
