Sing Street (2016)
Movie
Released
A school band gives the songs a reason to exist before anyone has mastered an instrument. The appeal for a sceptic is watching borrowed pop poses become a teenager's own language, with rehearsals and homemade videos doing the emotional work. Its hopeful energy comes with bullying and a strained home life.
