Nick Baker (naturalist)

Weird Creatures turns Baker's affection for overlooked animals into an invitation to examine their adaptations. The title promises oddity, but his best explanations ask what an unusual shape or behaviour helps an animal do. That makes him good company for viewers who enjoy finding the logic behind an initially baffling creature. His delight in natural-history detail is the attraction; it encourages curiosity about species that do not fit the familiar idea of attractive wildlife.
