The Assistant (2020)
Movie
Released
A junior employee's ordinary tasks reveal how abuse is protected by schedules, expense routines and an office hierarchy. The quiet conversation with human resources is frightening because its politeness offers no meaningful route to help. This is workplace procedure as insulation for power, with implication and small sounds carrying more than direct confrontation.
