The Trial (1962)
Movie

Josef K. cannot defend himself properly because nobody will make the accusation intelligible. Orson Welles turns rooms, corridors and enormous working spaces into shifting measures of his insignificance. The attraction is the visual sensation of being outmanoeuvred by an institution before you understand its rules, with black comedy inside the panic.
