Mark Pougatch

Pougatch's ITV football and rugby tournament coverage gives a crowded panel a clear organising presence. The useful quality for a newer viewer is his ability to keep the discussion attached to the match: who made the difference, what changed and what the next period might require. Experts supply the technical argument; he keeps the exchange moving. Choose a tournament build-up or interval discussion for a measured host who can hold strong personalities within a readable programme.
