Sue Barker

Barker's Wimbledon archive combines the familiarity of a long-serving host with an easy connection to the players she interviews. Her conversations around Andy Murray's victories are good examples of letting a major sporting moment feel human as well as historic. She could guide the broadcast and then make space for someone else's emotion. Choose her for a welcoming introduction to tennis's personalities and rituals; her main BBC Wimbledon presenting run ended in 2022.
