Clare Balding

Balding's London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic coverage is a useful starting point for viewers arriving with enthusiasm but little specialist knowledge. She gives an unfamiliar contest a human point of interest, then makes room for the expertise around her. The Clare Balding Show offers a slower companion, with athletes given space to discuss their lives beyond results. Choose her for curiosity that can make following a sport feel like getting to know the people involved.
