Amplify Dot

Dotty, also known as Amplify Dot, moved from a BBC Radio 1Xtra presenting role to co-hosting Sounds Like Friday Night with Greg James in 2017. Her part included meeting music fans and bringing viewers' responses into a programme built around live performances. That is an appealing translation of radio's relationship with its listeners into something visible. Choose the first series for a crossover that makes audience participation part of the hosting, while keeping the artists at the centre.
