Greg James

James brought an established Radio 1 identity to Sounds Like Friday Night in 2017, sharing the presenting with Dotty and guest artists. Interviews and comic sketches offered a way to carry his playful radio manner into a live music programme rather than simply announcing the next performance. Start with the opening edition's Dave Grohl sketch and artist conversations to see the experiment. The series was brief, but it remains an interesting example of adapting a familiar voice to a different pace and a visible room.
