Only Yesterday (1991)
Movie
Released
A woman visiting the countryside keeps encountering her ten-year-old self in memory. The contrast between lightly drawn recollections and fuller present-day spaces makes the past feel selective and unfinished. It is especially rewarding when you are curious about which childhood wants survived into adult decisions, with everyday embarrassment doing more than a grand revelation.
