Nick Cave

Cave is compelling when an interviewer gives him space to work through an idea rather than supply a definitive slogan. Ann Powers's 2024 conversation about Wild God moves between faith, performance and the changing shape of his songwriting. His book-length conversations with Seán O'Hagan offer another route into that reflective mode. The attraction is the willingness to sit with uncertainty and revisit an earlier position. Listen for how he connects emotional experience to the work, without reducing every song to a diary entry.
