Yu, also widely reported as Yu Weijiao, built YTO Express with Zhang Xiaojuan. Their company benefited from demand for parcel delivery as online commerce expanded, while network partners helped extend its reach. Outside investors later bought minority interests. The wealth mechanism is the founders’ remaining equity, rather than an assumption that every outlet or every parcel’s contents belonged to them.
