James E. Casey
Person
Born
Casey co-founded the messenger business that became UPS in 1907. Consolidating collections and deliveries into an expanding network created an enterprise much larger than an individual courier could operate. His later philanthropy, including the foundations established with his siblings, provides a documented connection between business ownership and wealth used outside the company.
