Soichiro Honda

Honda moved from repairing vehicles and making engine parts to manufacturing motorcycles, then cars. His technical work and Takeo Fujisawa's commercial management helped build a company able to sell beyond its home market. The Honda Foundation, established through donations from Soichiro and his brother Benjiro, gives a tangible link between the founder's business success and resources he could direct outside the manufacturer.
