Kate Bush

The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever gathers people in red dresses to perform the dance associated with Bush's Wuthering Heights video. Local organisers have brought the event to cities around the world; ABC documented Hobart's gathering in 2016 and its return the following year. The pleasure is collective re-enactment, including enthusiastic amateurs rather than only trained dancers. It is a distinctive example of fans keeping a visual performance in circulation by trying it together, with playfulness more important than a perfect imitation.
