David Walentas

Walentas bought a substantial group of industrial buildings in Brooklyn's Dumbo in 1981 through Two Trees. Converting and repositioning them over many years helped turn a property holding into a valuable neighbourhood portfolio. Rezoning and the area's existing artistic life were part of that transformation. This was wealth from redevelopment and patient ownership, with public planning decisions and changing local demand shaping the outcome.
