Kwok Tak-seng

Kwok helped build Sun Hung Kai Properties into a major developer, with the 1972 listing supporting its expansion. A controlling family interest linked the value of residential and commercial projects to wealth across generations. Selling completed homes and retaining investment properties produced different kinds of returns within the group. The resulting family fortune was rooted in development, but the company's full property portfolio also supported outside shareholders and creditors.
