Kjell Inge Røkke

Røkke began with a fishing vessel in 1982 and built a fisheries business before his RGI company became Aker's largest shareholder in 1996. Aker's 2024 portfolio included oil and gas, engineering, marine biotechnology and industrial software. Its 2025 report records his 68.2% holding through investment companies. The diversified exposure sits beneath that ownership layer: Aker's stakes in its operating companies are not identical to Røkke personally owning the same percentages of each.
