Oprah Winfrey

Winfrey began supporting scholars at Morehouse in 1989 and added $13 million in 2019 to sustain the scholarship fund. At that anniversary, the college reported that almost 600 scholars had benefited over the programme's first 30 years. The repeated support for students makes this a particularly clear example of a donor relationship extending beyond a ceremony. The cumulative figures describe the programme at that point, not an unchanging annual intake.
