Paul Allen

Allen joined the Giving Pledge in 2010 with a commitment to devote most of his fortune to philanthropy. His published statement identified science, conservation, cultural organisations and community support among his priorities. The pledge allowed both lifetime giving and later estate distribution. Existing institutes and grants show an operating philanthropic record, but a catalogue of funded projects should not be mistaken for a complete accounting of the estate's eventual allocation.
