Friends (1994)
TV Show
First aired
Behind the coffee-shop conversations, Friends repeatedly returns to the practical politics of sharing an apartment. Swapped rooms, borrowed possessions and assumptions about who can move in reveal how much of a friendship rests on domestic cooperation. This is the familiar classic in the selection. Pick it for the pleasure of seeing affection survive petty territorial behaviour, while allowing for a version of New York rent that rarely adds up.
