Spaced (1999)

Daisy and Tim pretend to be a couple to get a London flat, making their housing compromise the first of many awkward negotiations. Spaced lets work disappointments, guests and adjacent neighbours enter a home already held together by improvisation. Its pop-culture imagination is exuberant, but the small question underneath is familiar: how much of your life are you entitled to make somebody else's problem?
