Briarpatch (2020)

Allegra Dill investigates her sister's death in a Texas border town full of compromised officials and aggressively strange characters. Its connection to Reacher is the returning outsider asking questions a local system would rather suppress. Rosario Dawson gives the heightened noir a firm centre, and this one-season story provides a more compact route than a long-running procedural.
