The Neighbors (2012)

A New Jersey family discovers that the rest of its gated community consists of aliens trying to understand Earth. ABC's 2012 The Neighbors turns unfamiliar customs into an exaggerated version of the usual problem: nobody agrees on what normal residents do. The family sitcom is much lighter than the thrillers here. Its useful joke is that fitting in becomes a negotiation for both sides, rather than something only the newcomers must attempt.
