Desperate Housewives (2004)

Wisteria Lane gives residents plenty of windows through which to inspect everybody else's version of domestic perfection. Desperate Housewives mixes escalating secrets with the smaller business of who is included, judged or quietly resented. Its heightened soap plotting is the point: neighbourly knowledge becomes both a source of companionship and a weapon. Choose it when you want the whole street to keep generating fresh complications.
