The Lake (2022)

The lakeside cottage community in the Canadian The Lake has a remarkable ability to turn leisure into a jurisdictional dispute. Justin's return brings family claims, local alliances and shared boathouse politics into collision. It is a more summery comic option, with prickliness beneath the scenery. The attraction is recognising how a place sold as an escape can acquire its own meetings, rivalries and unwritten obligations.
