Married (2014)

Russ and Lina are trying to stay connected beneath debt, children and the sheer administration of daily life. FX's Married makes the unromantic details do useful comic work: time alone is scarce, and an ordinary irritation can acquire a long history. The tone is frank and sometimes abrasive. It suits viewers who want a sitcom to admit that recognising a spouse's habits is not the same as knowing what will help them.
