Rectify (2013)

Daniel Holden returns to a Georgia town after his murder conviction is vacated, and everyone has to live beside a story they thought was settled. This less obvious route follows True Detective's moral and spiritual aftermath rather than its case-solving momentum. Four seasons allow remarkable patience with shame, care and the ordinary difficulty of being free.
