Black Spot (2017)

In the French series Zone Blanche, a remote forest town's abnormal violence defeats any simple division between a police case and local folklore. It is the supernatural-tinged detour for someone who loved True Detective's atmosphere. Recurring investigators supply an entry point, but the larger mythology remains open rather than resolving into one tidy explanation.
