One couple's split changes the terms of everybody else's holiday in the 2025 The Four Seasons. Invitations, loyalty and the introduction of a new partner become group decisions nobody quite agreed to make. It is particularly good for the social aftermath: mutual friends cannot simply carry on with the old seating plan. The tone is comic, though the discomfort comes from affection and history that remain in circulation.
