Battle Creek (2015)

A polished FBI agent arrives with resources that a frustrated local detective cannot ignore. Battle Creek makes the mismatch between Milt's agreeable confidence and Russ's suspicion part of every attempt to work together. It suits viewers who enjoy professional jealousy and begrudging respect in a relatively accessible case-led format. The series ended after one season, so treat the partnership as a short run rather than a long commitment.
