The Good Cop (2018)

Tony Jr. respects the rules; his disgraced former-cop father retains an irritating store of knowledge about the people who break them. The 2018 American The Good Cop makes authority move between the son who has the badge and the parent who will not stop advising him. It is a light detective comedy with a family argument built into the working relationship. The father's usefulness never makes his methods uncomplicated.
