The Decameron (2024)

Nobles and servants shelter from the plague in a villa, discovering that escaping a crisis does not settle who should do the work. The English-language historical comedy gives class pretensions an increasingly unruly physical form. It is much broader and more grotesque than The White Lotus, but the shared premise is clear: retreating somewhere comfortable can make an unequal arrangement harder to conceal.
