Dead Like Me (2003)

George dies young and discovers that collecting souls is a job with shifts, colleagues and limited explanations from management. It offers the afterlife workplace and irritation with cosmic rules that may appeal after The Good Place. Its humour is considerably bleaker, and sudden death remains an ordinary part of the episodic rhythm.
