Delhi Crime (2019)

Shefali Shah's Vartika Chaturvedi has to direct an investigation while carrying its human weight and managing the organisation doing the work. The first season's sexual-violence case is particularly harrowing. Her authority is expressed through attention, decisions and exchanges with colleagues, making this the strongest choice here for a woman leading a team rather than a lone saviour solving everything herself.
