The Electric State (2025)
Movie
Released
Netflix's October 2024 English-language teaser assembles an alternate 1990s from abandoned commercial robots, a child's search and a journey through an oddly familiar landscape. It leaves space for the mournful strangeness of those images. The film, released in March 2025, fills more of that space with explanatory machinery and buddy-adventure banter. The comparison favours the teaser's melancholy curiosity over the feature's louder organisation of the same world.
