Gravity Falls (2012)

Dipper and Mabel's summer at a dubious tourist attraction turns odd local incidents into a larger mystery. The animated comedy rewards attention to the town without letting clues replace the siblings' personalities. It suits the viewer who likes secrets accumulating around familiar places and wants more jokes between unsettling discoveries. Its two-season story gives the investigation a deliberate destination.
