The Institute (2025)

Children with unusual abilities are held in a facility whose adults explain exploitation as a necessary service. Stephen King's 2025 adaptation gives their growing alliances the practical task of resisting it. The connection to Stranger Things is the combination of experimentation and young people refusing to remain isolated. Its captivity and abuse make it a more concentrated, harsh institutional thriller than a nostalgic adventure.
